Diego holds more than 20 of experience focused on performance improvement and business transformation including post merger integration. He also brings experience in managing operational and financial restructurings, bankruptcy, process reengineering and internal audit. He has acquired a wide industry experience supporting clients in services, distribution, transportation, consumer good industries, venture capital, franchising, automotive and travel.
Prior to A&T, Diego served as CFO for Movilnorte Group. One of the most important BMW dealers in Spain. Eight years of crisis with two main restructurings, two funds raisings (one Venture Capital) and finally left the Group with increased net sales, reaching better EBT than before crisis and backed up by adequate treasury.
Prior to BMW, Diego served as Head of Financial Control for Venture Capital (Inveralia), his main duties were post-acquisition: managing corporate reorganizations (mergers, carve-outs, liquidations and dissolutions), process reengineering and ERP implementation, control of subsidiaries and special risks.
Diego first contact with Venture Capital started serving as CFO for Mundoviaje.com, one of the first dot.com travel agencies in Spain. As a Start Up, well backed up by first line investor and Venture Capital, Diego built the Financial Department up .
Prior to joining Mundoviaje.com, he served as Controller for Chrysler at Bergé Group. Bergé was in charge of introducing and developing the brand and channels (dealers) in Spain. He contributed to the success over the expansion’s years.
In addition, Diego worked for Arthur Andersen as Audit Team Leader in sectors such as services, distribution, transportation, manufacturing, food, nonprofit and mezzanine, health, defense, pharmaceutical, etc.
Diego holds a Public Certification as Statutory Auditor (ICAC: 18211) and a BBA from City University (Washington).
Spanish National, Diego is also fluent in English.
