Agnès brings more than 20 years of experience in financing matters, acquisition finance and non-performing LBO assets restructuring and has served in various senior positions at banks, investment funds and Big Four firms across Europe and the US. She is currently advising French banks in the restructuring of complex swaps sold to French municipalities as part of a Joint –Venture created with the German consulting firm Lucht Probst & Associates. She is also mandated by Advisory firms (Deloitte Finance, E&Y, Amilton Finance) as banking expert.
Agnes has been a Senior Director at A&M’s Financial Industry Advisory Services Practice for 2 years. At A&M, Ms. Hugot was a member of the Executive Committee leading the BlackRock Stress test for a large Greek Bank according to the requirements of the ECB, the EC and the IMF. She led the due diligence review of Geniki and Emporiki in 2012.
Prior to joining A&M, Agnès served as the CEO and co-founder of Aloïs Investment, a French independent management company, regulated by the French Financial Market Authorities (AMF), dedicated to investing in discounted LBO assets (including minority and majority stakes via debt equity swap).
Previously, Agnès spent 3 years as a Director, leading the southern European development of Landsbanki Islands h.f.. She was initially part of the leveraged finance team that was based in London and was responsible for originating LBO deals. During her tenure, the portfolio of LBO loans grew up to £2.7 billion. She also successfully negotiated and syndicated 10 financing mandates of mid market companies acquired by Top Tier Private Equity sponsors in 5 jurisdictions: France, Spain, UK, US and Italy. Additionally, she was also in charge of developing the Spanish and French branches for the bank.
Prior to joining Landsbanki, Agnès served as Director at the Paris branch of Halifax Bank of Scotland for 4 years. In this role, she led the high risk team in Paris in charge of the financial restructuring of non-performing LBO assets, structured the debt to equity swap, and managed the financial restructuring of the second largest European manufacturer of semi trailers. She also led the financial diagnostic and co-led the operational restructuring of the axle subsidiary, achieving a return to profitability in 6 months.
Agnès started her investment career as an Associate in the LBO team of Apax Paris, where she led acquisition and divestment processes in various transactions. She also supervised 3 legacy portfolio companies, leading refinancing, performance improvement and negotiation with other shareholders and bank pools.
Prior to that, Agnès worked 7 years at Ernst & Young (France and US) and Coopers & Lybrand, where she managed senior teams in various contexts like statutory audit engagements for blue chip companies, IPO processes on the French New Market and US Nasdaq, consolidation IT systems, fund raising and performance improvement for SMEs.
Agnès graduated from HEC, holds a MBA from INSEAD and a Certified Public Accountant diploma from France and from the Pennsylvania State.
French national she is fluent in English and Spanish.
