Karin is Founding Partner at Advisory & Turnaround (A&T) and brings more than 20 years of experience in Performance Improvement, Restructuring, Post-Merger & Carve-Out and has been involved in a range of large scale business transformation projects across multiple geographies.
During her first 13 years in Spain, Karin has been developing the Energy and Sourcing Practices and leading the Post merger Practice at Deloitte Spain. She has been developing the Operational Restructuring Practice at Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) Spain with success prior founding Advisory & Turnaround in 01/2013.
She has acquired a wide industry experience supporting clients in consumer goods, travel, transportation, energy, high tech, healthcare and banking.
Some of her notable clients are WDFG , TUI- Firstchoice, abertis, Gallaher-Cita, Carrefour, GAP inc, Grupo SOS/Deolio, Kraft, HP, EDP-Hidrocantábrico, Endesa, Gas Natural, Cargill, Fnac.
Prior to A&T, Karin spent 3,5 years as a Senior Director at the restructuring practice A&M supporting Iberian client base as well as private equity firms such as First Reserve.
Prior to A&M, Karin spent 11 years at Deloitte in France, USA & Spain, as Director in charge of post-merger integration and divestiture practice and performance improvement.
Karin started her career at 3M during 6 years, holding various positions in audit, IT and ended-up European Supply Chain Manager of Imation (a 3M spin-off, NL based).
Karin holds an industrial engineer degree from EISTI University (France), Leadership certification from Harvard University and is a certified EDPAA auditor.
French national, Karin is fluent in English, Spanish & Portuguese (native).
Pascal is a shareholder and a Senior Business Adviser to Advisory & Turnaround (A&T) since 01/2013. He is in charge of Business Development and also coordinates all the resources of the company. He brings 21 years of prior experience with leading corporations and 9 years managing his own consultancy and investment business.
He has acquired specialist skills in Strategic Business Planning, Value Management, Finance, Performance Improvement, Restructuring, Change Management , M&A, Commercial Due Diligence, Post-Merger Integration . He had large regional P&L responsibilities during 11+ years in FTSE 50 / NYSE listed multinational tobacco company and 10 years of finance responsibilities in both FMCG and transformation industry.
Since 2007, Pascal has been managing investments on his own account leveraging his extensive experience and know-how in value management.
Prior to this, he worked 17 years at Gallaher Group Plc (now Japan Tobacco) where he joined the France-Benelux-Switzerland subsidiary as Financial Controller (5 years) and then General Manager (5 years). He then took larger regional responsibilities as Vice-President Northern Europe (1 year) prior to becoming Managing Director Western Europe (6 years). In parallel to managing sales & marketing entities internationally, Pascal participated to over 20 M&A projects, led 2 major acquisitions and 2 major post-merger integrations like the tobacco division of the ex-national monopoly Austria Tabak and sat on the Board of a JV with RJ.Reynolds Tobacco.
Prior to Gallaher, he started his career at Wavin (Shell Group) and ended-up Divisional Financial Controller after holding various finance functions including an additional interim of 1 year as Head of Logistics.
Pascal graduated from Sup De Co in 1985. He holds a MBA with a specialization in finance and control. He is an alumnus of Insead having completed – among others – the International Marketing Program in 1999 and the Advanced Management Program in 2001. Pascal is also a certified NLP Practitioner (Neuro Linguistic Programming) since 1997.
French national, Pascal is married with 2 children. He is fluent in English & Spanish and speaks basic German and Dutch.
